Fox Interactive announced today that the popular TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be made into a video game to be released sometime this fall. The game will be a third person action title that allows you to take control of Buffy in her attempt to rid the world of evil. The game will be set in places that are familiar to fans of the show such as Sunnydale High School, the cemetery, town square, the mall, The Bronze nightclub and Buffy's home. You will of course use your wily ways along with martial arts and a very sharp stick to skewer the baddies and make them hurt. Characters from the show such as Angel, Cordelia, Xander, Willow, Oz, and Giles will also make appearances and offer their help as you try to save the world from a sucky demise. Hoping to maintain an authentic look from the TV show in the game, the producers and creators from the show will play an active role in the development of the game by hunting people down and biting their necks. Hopefully they won't actually do this, as they would spend most of their time in jail for being creepy and not enough time making the game. Anyway, The Collective will be handling the development of the title and will hopefully be able to render some accurate depictions of characters and environments from the show. Once we learn some more about the game, we'll give you the scoop.
