Er gingen al geruchten rond maar nu is het officieel, de volgende game in de Legacy of Kain reekt, Blood Omen 2, komt ook naar de PC. Nadat Soul Reaver 2 redelijk succesvol is gepoort heeft men dus ook besloten deze andere third person actie game in het Legacy of Kain universum een PC versie te geven. Blood Omen 2, the latest instalment in the Legacy of Kain Series, is a mi ion-based action game with a focus on combat and stealth. An engro ing story drives the player through huge lushly detailed 3D environments. Kain starts the game with two supernatural abilities: "Mist" which shrouds Kain in mist enabling him to hide from his enemies, and "Fury" which is a combat special attack. Kain can then acquire new abilities by defeating the corresponding bo enemy that has that ability. For example when Kain kills the bo that uses a jumping ability to attack, Kain then gains the 'Super-Jump' ability enabling him to acce treacherous new areas of Nosgoth.

Het is niet bekend in hoeverre de PC versie zal verschillen van zijn consolebroertjes, maar het is waarschijnlijk vooral een klein grafisch verschil. Of het net zo'n succes wordt als Soul Reaver moeten we nog zien. Zo heel lang hoef je er ook niet meer op te wachten, want de PC versie komt reeds in de lente van dit jaar uit.
