Black & White interview | Gamer.nl

Na eerdere trailers deze week is er een derde trailer van No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

LionSource was zo gelukkig een interview te kunnen houden met James Leach van het story team van LionHead Studios. Het interview gaat dan ook vooral over het verhaal en dergelijke.ls.com: The story in 'Black&White' consists of "quests" and "challenges". How many of them are there? What is the difference between them?

JL: There are over 100 quests and challenges. The difference is simple. When you play the game you have ultimate freedom. You can do whatever you want. However, in order for the story to unfold with you as a part of it, we had to make it that you HAD to do some things. For example, in order to play Black & White you need a Creature. The means by which you get this Creature is a Quest. You don't have to do it at a certain time, but realistically you can't progre through the game without having done the Quest and getting the Creature.

So Quests are things you have to do (at some point). Challenges are totally up to you. For example, some villagers pray to you as a god because their children are being kidnapped. You can help them, ignore them, kill them, do whatever you want. What you do (or don't do) has an impact on whether you're good or evil, but as this is a Challenge, you don't have to do it and you won't be penalised.
