Electronic Arts heeft zoals beloofd vandaag de nieuwe Medal of Honor console game, genaamd Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, officiëel aangekondigd. In het persbericht dat men de wereld in gestuurd heeft zijn nog enkele nieuwigheden over deze titel te vinden. We wisten eigenlijk alleen maar dat het spel zou draaien om het Pacific Theatre. De gevechten zullen onder andere plaatsvinden in Pearl Harbour en ook Guadal Canal zal van de partij zijn.Set for the first time in the Pacific Theatre of Operations from 1941-1944, Medal of Honor Rising Sun gives players a sense of the courage it took to fight the Japanese from Pearl Harbor to the shores of the Philippine Islands. Players will a ume the role of Marine Corporal Joseph Griffin, as he survives the attack on Pearl Harbor, leads the a ault of Guadalcanal, and finally rescues his brother from a Japanese POW camp in the Philippines. Armed with his wits and a variety of authentic weapons, it's up to players to stop the Japanese war machine in its tracks. Players can even team up with a friend in the all-new co-op multiplayer mode to battle the Japanese forces. Along the way, players will earn awards and medals for their meritorious service in defeating the enemy. Wederom zal ook Cpt. Dale Dye zijn bijdrage leveren en ervoor instaan dat alle wapens en gebeurteni en in het spel zo authentiek mogelijk zijn. Daarnaast zal er een cooperative multiplayer mode in het spel zitten zodat je samen met iemand anderes de Japanners eens een lesje kan leren.
