Na het spelen van de beta test heb ik er een plezierige smaak aan overgehouden en kan ik niet wachten om weer met mijn Zero op iemand neer te storten Ook de jongens van Homelan zijn erg te spreken over de shooter van Digital Illusions die over een aantal maanden in de winkels zal liggen. Grafisch is het niet je van het, maar het geheel is zeer goed te pruimen.While the North African map is a lot of fun all by itself, it's the Pacific map that really shows off what Battlefield: 1942 can be capable of doing. The Japanese team launches their attack on a US held island from the ocean through the use of landing vehicles, planes and even a ship. The US team have their own planes on the island as well as tanks and even some stationary artillery and anti-aircraft guns to defend the island and beat back the Japanese forces. Battling it out over the fate of the island in the map really puts you in the war far more than either Allied A ault or Wolfenstein's multiplayer modes. When you find yourself on the US side driving a jeep trying desperately to get to the plane on the airstrip while a Japanese dive bomber is trying to make your life miserable from above, it adds up to just about the most exciting first person multiplayer experience I have ever had. Net als in vele andere multiplayer FPS games moet je een cla kiezen voordat je het strijdperk betreed. Niks nieuws, het zijn voornamelijk de voertuigen en zeer toegankelijke gameplay die ervoor moeten zorgen dat dit een grote multiplayer hit zal worden.
