Op vrijdag meldden we al dat Eurogamer in een interview met Altar Interactive had opgevangen dat The Dreamland Chronicles: Freedom Ridge bij hun in productie was. Op de site van Altar Interactive staat nu ook een officieel persbericht dat de titel weer in ontwikkeling is met de nostalgie opwekkende naam UFO: Freedom Ridge.ALTAR interactive would like to stre that it values highly the work of Mythos Games and will be working closely with designer Julian Gollop to ensure the consistency of vision of the game.

At the same time, ALTAR will be making many changes and improvements to the original project. While the atmosphere is important, the main objective is to concentrate on the pure gameplay; to build up on the succe ful elements of similar games in the past and to creatively evolve them in an up-to-date computer game.

For the reasons of po ible copyright problems, the name of the game is going to be changed as well. The current working title is UFO: Freedom Ridge. The actual name should be confirmed in January, 2002. The scheduled release date is Christmas 2002.
