Alles over Operation Flashpoint 2 in uitgebreide Q&A | Gamer.nl

No Man's Sky uitgebracht.

When was the OFP2 project conceived? What were the main objectives that you wanted to achieve with OFP2?

Marek: Originally, we didn't want to work on a sequel at all as we had quite different goals in game development for the long term than military games. However, research and development of new technologies took much more time than we expected. As our ambitions are quite big we realized sometime in the fall of 2002 that it was simply not po ible to work 5 years on the development of all the technologies without seeing any real game where it is used.

We would like to deliver all the scope, realism and level of immersion as in the original game and in addition, we want to deliver a more polished engine using the latest technologies available. We also would like to deliver a matured and tuned game architecture, including the multiplayer, that will go beyond pure gaming with an open ended design suitable for any type of real time visual simulations.
