Op de homepage van de Half-Life mod Day of Defeat zijn een flink aantal nieuwe screenshots verschenen van beta 2.0, welke druk in ontwikkeling is op dit moment.

Bij de nieuwe screenshots is tevens te lezen dat een nieuwe map voor beta 2.0 is gemaakt door een mapper van Valve software. Iikka Keränen heeft map gemaakt genaamd Dod_Avalanche met kapot geschoten gebouwen, kraters en uiteraard veel routes. Continuing in their support of the HL mod community and Day of Defeat, Valve Software has created a brand new map for Beta 2 - Dod_Avalanche! We had a playtest with the Valve guys yesterday on this map, and let me tell you it is intense. Iikka Keränen over at Valve has created a beautiful map, full of bombed buildings, crafty routes, sniper positions and open courtyards. It also showcases the new capture areas beautifully, requiring several people to capture the town square and the team bases. Many thanks to Valve and Iikka for this excellent map!
