De Franse uitgever Ubisoft is de laatste tijd druk in de weer met het aankondigen van nieuwe titels. Na XIII, Raven Shield, Rayman 3 en Splinter Cell kondigen ze nu Project BG&E aan. Het mag duidelijk zijn dat het hier een tijdelijke titel betreft voor dit spel. Veel concrete informatie is er nog niet bekend, maar het gaat iets echt aparts worden. De woorden van het persbericht spreken boekdelen:As a world premiere, during E3 2002 Ubi Soft® Entertainment will be unveiling Project BG&E [working title], the latest creation by Michel Ancel, creator of the critically acclaimed Rayman® series. Project BG&E is scheduled to ship to retail shelves in the 1st Quarter of 2003 with availability on all next generation consoles and PC.

"Project BG&E is an amazing game and I am confident that it will bring an outstanding experience to players. Project BG&E underlines the boldne of our development teams. These highly talented people pushed the limits of their imagination and their skill area." said Yves Guillemot, president and CEO, Ubi Soft Entertainment.

"What propels this game into the upper echelon of next-generation games is not only an engro ing storyline but the Promise of Discovery", said Michel Ancel, Game Designer. "We've designed a brand new, exclusive game engine from ground up that has allowed us to integrate a whole universe in one game including mountains, cities, towns, planets and more. Our goal was to provide gamers an opportunity to experience absolute immersion through a unique story and free roaming environments - a world with no bounds.

Het spel zal dus draaien op een nieuwe, exclusieve game-engine en je zal tijdens het spel onder andere bergen, steden, dorpen en planeten tegenkomen. Het persbericht bevat het toverwoord "Immersive", en als ze dit net zo weten waar te maken als GTA3 en Morrowind dan staat ons een topper te wachten. Benieuwd wat Ubisoft ervan gemaakt heeft, we zullen het op de komende E3 zien.
