Timeline is zo'n game. GET THIS out of the way: Timeline is an extremely short game. Short as in "I finished it in under 3 hours". In fact, the second time I played through, it took less than an hour, and I had to wonder if I was actually playing a game targeted to kids.

The true shame of this action/adventure game is that - despite its brevity and ridiculously easy difficulty level - Timeline still had the potential to be a mini-Half-Life or Thief if handled properly. Sadly, much of the game feels as if it were rushed, and the game's story and characters are presented so poorly as to all but ruin what could have an enjoyable experience.
