Op IGN Cube is te lezen dat Namco op de Space World persconferentie gaat aankondigen dat Soul Calibur 2 ook op Nintendo's Gamecube gaat verschijnen.

Er zijn nog weinig details over de titel bekend, behalve dat de ontwikkeling nog in een vroeg stadium is. Details regarding the GameCube version of Soul Calibur 2 are nonexistent at this point, but insiders at Nintendo of America suggest that it is very early on.
