Sierra Studios is afgelopen vrijdag eindelijk officieel naar buiten getreden met de nieuwe release van Tribes 2, een versie die bij een niet nader genoemde developer in ontwikkeling is. Naast alle leuke feitjes is ook de naam van het beestje bekend, namelijk 'Tribes 2: Fast Attack'.

Vooral bijzonder aan deze re-release is de toevoeging van een single-player campaign, ééntje waarin je als cadet opgeleid zal worden tot getrainde veteraan en je het op zal nemen tegen een mystereuze buitenaardse kracht.

In de multiplayer probeert Sierra de gevechten wat kleinschaliger te maken, iets waardoor het spel makkelijker als tu endoortje te spelen is.GameSpy: First off, give us a grocery list of features that Fast Attack is going to contain that will get the TRIBES community excited.Alex Rodberg: TRIBES Fast Attack is actually two separate products in the same box -- both are pretty significant. We'll start with the game called Fast Attack: this is a brand new TRIBES game set in the TRIBES 2 universe.. it contains a complete single player campaign, a complete multiplayer game that is far more frantic and fast than what TRIBES 2 offers. It is designed for smaller teams and faster action, more fun and pick-up games rather than trying to organize a large 32 person game to regularly compete.. this is something that's far more conducive to just jumping in and having fun. The box also contains an enhanced version of TRIBES 2, which includes two exclusive mods.
