Gamelinks heeft een preview gemaakt van Oni 3rd person actie 'knalknal' achtig spelleke.Branded as a game that is a "third-person 3D action/adventure that emphasizes hand-to-hand combat as well as gunplay" Oni, Japanese for "ghost" or "demon" has been one of the most anticipated titles since it's introduction at this year's E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) tradeshow. Inspired by anime such as Ghost in the Shell and action sequences from La Femme Nikita, Oni very much resembles the movie Matrix in both fighting maneuvers and over the top gunplay sequences.

Let's jump right into the bread and butter of this game. From the trailer shown at E3 and current screenshots, there is no doubt that the gameplay of Oni will be fast and furious. It's a combination of full contact hand-to-hand combat ala Tekken and furious shooting of various guns, and rocket launchers! Imagine Matrix on your computer and you get to control the characters that do flying kicks, mind bending leaps and other kung-fu like maneuvers that are way over the top of typical action games you'll see on your PC these days. The third person camera angles you'll get in Oni are also like nothing you've ever seen before.
