Nintendo weet met de DS heel wat indruk te maken, mede door het feit dat deze handheld in tegenstelling tot Sony's PSP al speelbaar is op de E3. Om iedereen thuis ook te voorzien van informatie hebben ze de DS website geopent. Er is een filmpje te downloaden en je kunt er alle hardware specificaties en mogelijkheden rustig doorlezen. Tevens is er wat informatie over enkele games verschenen, zoals Metroid Prime: Hunters, Wario Ware en Super Mario 64x4, maar ook PictoChat. Dit is een soort pictionary spelletje waarbij je ook nog kunt chatten door middel van een toetsenbord op het onderste scherm. Via de draadloze verbinding op de DS kun je op deze manier chatten en plaatjes versturen naar andere DS bezitters. Het is slechts één van de vele mogelijkheden van Nintendo's nieuwe handheld. The bottom screen shows a standard keyboard, while instant me ages from other users appear in the top screen. Players can type text me ages using the keyboard, use the stylus to send me ages in their own handwriting or simply draw and transmit a picture. If another user sends a picture, the recipient can modify it and send it back. Play a game of wirele virtual hangman or send covert me ages to other users.
