Het komt natuurlijk niet echt als een vera ing, maar IGN heeft bevestigt dat de Nintendo Gamecube te modificeren is. Dit komt natuurlijk als goed nieuws voor de Import-happy mensen onder ons.

Nog mooier nieuws is dat je (mits je een beetje handig bent ) het ook nog zelf kan doen. Dus geen dure ingrepen en geklooi met "modchips"!IGNcube is able to confirm that Japanese import GameCubes can indeed play US GCN software with a few neat modifications to the hardware. The alteration proce is not entirely an easy one, but those persistent enough -- and with a soldering gun, can accomplish the task without fail.

The modification works so that players can actually switch between US and Japanese software from the back of the GameCube. Several outlets have already performed the alteration succe fully.

LET OP; dit modificeren geldt voor de Japanse GameCube en zorgt ervoor dat je Amerikaanse games kan spelen. Of het ook mogelijk is Pal games te spelen is nog niet duidelijk!

Voor nintendo is het allemaal natuurlijk minder leuk nieuws, want als er een ding is waar de "BIG N" een hekel aan heeft is het wel omgebouwde consoles!
