We hebben er "even" op moeten wachten, maar eindelijk is die er toch. 3DO heeft na lang wachten de multiplayerpatch voor Heroes of Might and Magic IV op het internet gezet. Naast het toevoegen van multiplayermogelijkheiden voor LAN en Internet toe fixt de patch ook een flink aantal bugs. Voorlopig is de patch alleen beschikbaar voor de Amerikaanse en UK versie, overige versies volgen snel. Naast het nieuws over de patch is op de official forums te lezen dat Heroes of Might and Magic IV: The Gathering Storm gold is gegaan. Wanneer de addon in de winkels ligt is nog onbekend, waarschijnlijk binnen een paar weken. General Update Highlights
- Added support for Multiplayer se ions. See the "Multiplayer" section for details.
- Correctly implemented the [Space Bar] hotkey in the Army Info Screen and its effect on troop movement.
- Eliminated an undesirable side effect of the 'H' and 'T' hotkeys and army stack 'drag and drop'.
H- aving a Hypnotized mage cast Town Gate during combat now gates out the mage's controller's army, eliminating a crash if the mage's owner's army had nowhere to go.
- The Teleport and Displacement spells are now affected by Magic Resistance when cast on hostile creatures.
- The Purse of Penny Pinching now correctly reduces the cost of troops when purchasing them.
- Dead heroes no longer gain Stealth experience.
