Kon je in het originele Zoo Tycoon al een virutele dierentuin opzetten, in Zoo Tycoon 2 is ontwikkelaar Blue Fang Games weer een stapje verder gegaan. Dit deel zal 30 zeer gedetailleerde dieren bevatten die je dankzij de nieuwe zoom feature en 3D graphics van nog dichterbij kunt bewonderen. Verder kun je je dierentuin weer helemaal naar eigen smaak inrichten, zodat zowel bezoekers als dieren het naar hun zin heben. Van Zoo Tycoon is een aantal nieuwe screenshots verschenen.
